7/24/09 Day 96: Food

lunch

  • side of kalua pork from L&L, leftover from Day 94
  • a few pieces of homemade beef jerky
  • water

dinner at Aki Sushi with Ashleigh (shared)

  • salad (mixed greens, grape tomatoes, grapes)
  • Tuna Mille-Feuille—“tuna, fuji apple, avocado, shiso and tobiko with apple vinegar and white balsamic sauce”
  • Eel Napoleon—“an eclectic combination of eel, fried tofu, crispy potato chips, mashed eel, pumpkin and ginger with eel sauce”
  • Aki Roll Combo
    • Caribbean Roll—“mango, avocado, yellowtail inside-out”
    • Banana Boat Roll—“fried banana, spicy tuna inside-out”
    • Dinosaur Roll—“crispy shrimp, avocado, tobiko, aonori inside-out”
  • Oyster Roll—“fried oyster, veg. avocado, onion, pepper, special sauce”
  • Tofu Panna Cotta—“organic soymilk, tapioca, green tea syrup, red bean, longan”

The salad, Eel Napoleon, Aki Roll Combo and Tofu Panna Cotta were ordered as a prix fixe special.
